I started this tradition in 2021 with me, my partner and our two children, just the four of us! There we were, parading up and down the blocks, howling and hitting pots and pans with spoons. The kids loved it so much they said I had to invite their friends the next year, so we did. In 2022 and 2023 we invited a few more families, and this year we invited even more. I compounded the wickedness by ordering the cheap kazoos online. I also put it out among my friends that I wanted a costume, and someone came through!
So far we've not been shut down or investigated by any type of authority figures, so I plan to just keep on doing it, and inviting more and more folks as the years go on. I hope to see it as a proper parade one day, but until then, it'll just be me and everyone else's children being wicked and evil in the streets!
You have a knack for saying just the right things!! And love your Krampus costume!!
I seriously gotta get me one (krampus costume) 👹
lovely post. Thank you
How does one go about organising a neighbourhood Krampus parade? Asking as someone who itches to arm other people's children with kazoos
