Hello, dear art enthusiasts! I’m so glad you’re here. Yesterday’s prompt was “Dream,” and thinking of Over the Garden Wall, this is what immediately came to mind. Greg and Wirt sleeping under their little leaf blankets. I love these half-brothers so much.
I’ll try and keep the text brief on these posts because these drawings will hit your inbox DAILY, and I don’t want to overwhelm you with content. Just know that I love you and I’m so excited to share some original drawings with you. I also really need the practice, so, let’s goooo!
But because this is Day 1, here is my one and only PSA: If you haven’t watched Over the Garden Wall yet, YOU MUST. Seriously, you must!! You can watch it on Hulu, or buy it on Amazon. Episodes are around 10 minutes each, and they will delight and amaze you to no end. Every detail is so well-wrought: the music, the vintage Americana art style, the writing, the jokes, the characters, the voice acting, the spooky + sweet coming-of-age heart-wrenchingness of it all. Seriously, it is SO GOOD. We re-watch the whole thing every year, and the music is my constant fall soundtrack.
Go. Watch it.
This piece is also currently for sale in the shop. If you like it, snap it up! This one is $22, plus $5 shipping. Here’s the link.
Thanks for being here, my loves! Happy October!
